What’s the first thing you need know in order to start a Students of Spirit Club in your school? 1. Am I passionately pursuing a growing relationship with Christ? 2. Am I living a life that reflects Jesus Christ in all I do? 3. Am I consistently praying for my friends, classmates and family? 4. Am I looking for opportunities to share my faith in Christ with others? If your answers to these questions are “Yes,” you’re ready to start an SOS Club. Here’s what you need to do: 1. Pray! Prayer is critical in reaching your friends and your school for Christ. Begin to pray for God to use you at your school. Ask others to join you. 2. Unite with others from different churches and assemble the leadership team (student leader(s) campus coach(es), faculty advisor) that will join you in starting your SOS Club. 3. Determine when and where your SOS Club will meet each week. 4. Fill out the SOS Club Charter (click here) and get permission from your school administration to start your club. 5. Have the first weeks of meetings for leadership students and current Christian students. Use these weeks for unifying your hearts and focusing your minds on the mission of your club. 6. Contact Spirit Midwest Ministries to register your Students of Spirit Club. We will assist you any way we can with help and resources to make your club a success – our desire is to equip, encourage and empower you to reach your friends for Christ |
